Terms of Use — Chiong Lab

These terms are the agreement between you and Chiong Lab when you use the website or the iPhone / Android app.

The service

Chiong Lab is a free study tool for O-Level physics. It is not a school, not an exam board, and not a guarantee of any grade.

You may use it for personal study. You may not copy the question banks to sell, scrape them, or run them as your own product.

Accounts

An account is optional. Guest play works without one. An account is how progress follows you to another device, and it is what opens the league, friends and the feed.

You must be 13 or older to create an account. You are responsible for the email and password you use.

You can delete the account at any time from MORE → Delete account.

What you write

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a comment you give us permission to store it and show it to the people it is meant for — the author of the post and their friends — for as long as you leave it there.

Do not write anything you would not want a teacher to read. No abuse, no threats, no sexual content, no advertising, and nobody else’s personal information — not their address, their school, their phone number or their photograph.

Comments are checked against a word filter before they are saved, and one that matches is refused. The filter is a floor, not a licence: something can pass it and still break these terms.

We may remove a comment, hide a display name, or lock an account that breaks this section. You can delete anything you wrote yourself, at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not harass other students, impersonate someone, or try to break into another account.

Do not use a public profile to publish other people’s personal information.

Display names and handles are checked against a word filter. A name that does not pass is not shown to other students and cannot be made public until it is changed.

You can report a student from their profile, and you can report a single comment from the comment itself. You can also block a student. A blocked student cannot find you in search, open your profile or send you a friend request, and their name is hidden from you on league boards. They are not told. Undo it under Profile visibility on your profile.

We read every report and may lock or delete an account that is used to abuse the service or other students.

Content and results

Questions and explanations are study aids. They can contain mistakes. They are not official Cambridge or SEAB materials.

XP, streaks and league places are game scores, not academic awards.

Availability

The app is provided as-is. We may change, pause or stop parts of it. We are not liable for lost progress, missed revision, or exam outcomes.

If the server is down, guest and on-device progress still work for what is already on the device.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy is part of these terms. If you create an account you are also agreeing to that policy.
